North Head

These are images taken at North head I meet up with some of my walking friends, we caught the 7.45 train changed at Central in Sydney hoped onto another train to Circular Quay hope on a ferry to Manly, stated the morning with coffee and muffin all for $6.00 very nice to I might add, then started our walk, a very scenic view of the city, there an old grave yard there that dates back to 1832 over grown with native flora a track has been cleared around the grave, in the photo you can see a head stone. A quarantine station was in operation 14 Aug 1832 to 29 Feb 1984

WW11 gun placement and fort can still be see there are tours running a 60 min through the gun emplacement and tunnels.
Hanging swamps, and the Memorial walk is a must, all in all a very interesting place and loaded with young history an easy and enjoyable walk

And a Banksia over 170 species, very unusual plant I think they are neat
