Stream in the Park
So after the mono-ness of Monday, I intended to publish a bright blip today. I got lots of nice shots of poppies in the park gardens, but then the stream caught my eye. As part of my efforts to improve my photos, I've been looking to try and capture moving water as so many of the amazing blippers here do. This is my first attempt - not the best, but I think if I'd had my tripod on me the shot would have been ace!
Mum also sent me the order of service from Granddad's funeral today. It contains a poem that she found scribbled amongst his papers. Whether it was something he wrote himself, or wrote down after hearing or reading it, we don't know. But I thought it was a lovely verse for today:
I often think that people we have loved
And who love us,
Not only make us more human
But they become part of us
And we carry them around all the time-
Whether we see them or not.
And in somes ways we are a sum total
Of those who have loved us
And those we have loved.
