Canada goose

It has been a catching up with 'jobs' day today, so we just made a quick trip to Golden Ponds before dinner to see what was going on down there. Not a lot of birds to begin with except for a few Canada geese, but then a western grebe and a great blue heron showed up, as well as a few cormorants. Rather too far a way for photographs, unfortunately, so the Canada geese turned out to be the better candidates for today, common as they are.
