Sunny fungi

A whole patch of these fungi were growing not very far from the area where I photographed some caterpillars recently. I always thought fungi needed more damp and shaded surroundings but these were growing in a very open and sunny spot.

Today's weather was very different from yesterday's. It stayed dry the whole day and we even had some sunny spells.
