I Am Not Lost

L.I.E.

Long story (and long day) short, my car conked out on the way back, and in the middle lane of the Long Island Expressway. Luckily, someone got out of his car, and helped me to calm down and get the car going again. I am indebted to this man. Because had he not come, I would've had a panic attack and sat there for who knows how long.

I know this sounds so corny, but I'm really touched by his willingness to go out of his way to help me--and it made me realize how much of an impact you can have on other people's lives. I think he'll always be in the back of my mind as a reminder of how to be a compassionate, helpful, and kind person.

Anyway, enjoy this picture of my feet as I was sitting in my car in 90 degree humidity for mom to come and pick me up. Do I have nasty Teva tan lines? You betcha.
