Birthday Joy!

Lily May is 2!
We have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new playhouse (a joint present for their summer birthdays from my parents) and so didn't make too many plans for today. Started out with some card and present opening, painting and playing outside with the new sand and water table. Then there was a picnic lunch followed by ice lollies. We got the call that house had arrived and so diddy and i went on ahead to put up the banners, while daddy brought lily on his bike for the surprise. They are just SO excited to have their own 'shed'. Lots of bouncing around, opening and closing doors, cooking of 'chips', sitting in beanbags and grinning. Perfect. I can tell they are going to get years of joy from this gift :)

Mum and Dad came back in time to see us light the candles on her little cake and sing happy birthday. Diddy managed to have a turn at blowing them out too (while she sang to him, awww) just before she decided she was having that cake and took a huge bite out of it!

Home again for 9pm and off they toddled up to bed, where we read the lovely story book auntie sheri bought. Lucky children, sweetly dreaming. Happy day :) We party at the weekend. I may have just been persuaded to order a bouncy castle with our world cup sweepstake winnings.
