A very famous landmark in London

It was well worth the very steep climb to the belfry of the Elizabeth Tower, named in 2012 after the Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. There are 334 steps up to the top and of course 334 steps down. But what a view across London from behind the clock face, amazing we could see the hands moving through the opaque glass. We heard the Great Bell, also known as Big Ben, strike at 3.00 pm - my goodness it was loud as we were right next to the bell!.We also heard the 4 quarter bells sound the Westminster chimes at 2.15, 2,30 and 2,45 pm. An exciting trip which also included a visit to Westminster Palace and both houses, the Lords and the Commons.
