Keeping the rain off ...

Monday: school's out and there ain't no holiday club this week so I "reluctantly" (yay!) took an extra day off work to hang out with the girls.

We met our lovely friend Helen and her ridiculously sweet baby in the botanical gardens.

Enormous scones were consumed. Much chatting done.

Then it rained.

A lot.

The girls, very sensibly, found ginormous (or "maffiss" as the big one would say) leaves and sheltered beneath them. The rain was relentless however, so eventually we just had to make a break for it and got soaked.

Still... We had a nice time and I managed to resist the urge to buy another hydrangea :)
