The scarecrow festival

Yesterday I mentioned that the village was gripped by the scarecrow festival and today I thought I'd share with you one of the exhibits. You were going to get the group who are all wearing masks and I'm given to be are "One Direction" but I didn't want to peak too soon - there is a long barren week of blippage stretching out ahead of us so I might save some of these rich pickings for later. Instead I'm sharing this gardener scarecrow.

We all know that clowns are scary; this is a truth universally acknowledged. And doesn't this scarecrow have that same aura of scariness? This kind of face will keep the children away from the fire if you pin it to the mantelpiece.
