Monochrome Monday Challenge - Trees

I thought I would quite enjoy today’s Monochrome Monday Challenge – Trees as I have converted a lot of my tree images previously to monochrome, However, I found today’s dull conditions gave very flat lighting and it was therefore difficult to get a decent range of tones in the images I had taken. The one I have chosen is my favourite tree, which stands at the end of the paddock that backs onto our house. It has featured previously in a number of my previous blips but I feel it looks far more striking in winter conditions without its foliage. A nice dramatic sky might also have helped but it was not to be.
