Laurie Brett

The Queen's Baton Relay reached Inverclyde today and came through our village of Inverkip early this morning. Unfortunately the weather had changed and it has been raining most of the day.

As I had a day off and my car was in for an MOT, I managed to get along to the Beacon Arts Centre this afternoon and captured Laurie Brett as she finished her leg of the relay.

Scots born actress, Laurie is well known for playing Jane Beale in Eastenders and English teacher Christine Mulgrew in Waterloo Road.

I also met up with fellow Blipper, Martin200 who was covering the event for the Herald. The last time I saw Martin was in April when the Mackintosh Building at the GSA was on fire.
