Quiraing

We never stop being amused by sheep. They dot this fabulous landscape of velvety grasses and rocky outcroppings, in one case running down the trail toward us as if they thought we were old friends come to visit. Upon closer inspection they realized their mistake and baaahed up the hill away from us, looking a little out of sorts.

We got this three hour walk in before the rains began in earnest. We toured the top end of the island and had lunch at a place where we puzzled over how a dish of nachos could come with chips on the side. Aren't nachos built ON chips? We thought, well, extra corn chips is always a bonus. But no! We'd forgotten that chips are potatoes. Nachos and french fries!
