Dolphin behind bars
After two days respite from dolphins here they are again, or at least here is one of them. Over the weekend two dolphins in parks were vandalised. This one is safely behind bars. It is in front of the Chester Hotel, a new hotel opened about three months ago, and probably one of the most expensive in the city centre. I read it was aiming for 5 star status when it was under construction, I am not sure the limited space available where it is situated would allow for the amenities expected of a 5 star hotel.
As the dolphin was in the car park I have moved it to an empty building next door. This was an expensive private pre school until it was closed suddenly by the Scottish government after a schools inspection. Apparently the inspectors concluded they were not confident that children were "safe and well cared for" at the school.
The building is for sale at the moment. It is sandwiched neatly between two four or five star hotels, so would be perfect for an expansion of one or other hotel. No doubt the same thought has occurred to the seller, and no doubt has priced it accordingly. Failing such a conversion it will likely become an office. In any event as the building is empty it provided a tidier backdrop for the dolphin.
