Going with the Flow
I went out ill-equipped for wildlife photography - I took my bridge camera which has a long zoom, but is useless in bright conditions - hence this cropped shot of a parent feeding a fledgling Grey Wagtail, which I couldn't resist, but would have been better with my proper camera and big lens. There were lots of these and Pied Wagtails too on the outflow channel of one of our reservoirs.
Today was about researching some of the transport I'll need to use for my walk along the course of the Upper Don for my One River project. I found an excellent bus which not only joins up some of the places along my route, but also takes me to some other places I have been intending to visit as well. The only drawback is that it is very infrequent, so the planning needs to be rigorous. The next walk will be tomorrow - assuming I can get my timings right. Dunford Bridge to Penistone.
