Thirsty Thursday

Balian had a better night with a couple or 1.5hr sleeps. Managed to feed lying down again so also better to settle. We've been enjoying our mattress on the floor sleeping curled up together, much to the bemusement of all the staff! Think they wonder why he's not in the cot. Have tried but he wants to be close, and besides the cot is so noisy with all it's metal catches that if I do get him to sleep and lay him down raising the sides wakes him as he's still easily startled (plus the noisy windows and lights on all the time). So floor is working out well!
The ultrasound showed no abscess in the lymph node which is brilliant as they'd been expecting to have to send us to the city hospital for surgery on his neck. So relieved! Doctors nearly let us home, so we waited hopefully all day but at 5pm the decided Bay still needed more antibiotics so we were in again for the night. All for a important reason but can't wait to get home and I miss Nathaniel so much, that even talking about him to the nurses makes me teary!
