On the sofa

This is Hector's observational point in the sitting room. Over the last few months the magnolia has grown to obscure the view which I hadn't appreciated. Yesterday morning was spent pruning back the foliage. So now I have more light coming in and Hector can see a little more of the comings and goings of the neighbourhood.

Hector is not normally allowed to sit on the cushion, but he must have found it left like that and seized the opportunity for a comfy rest to let his breakfast settle!
