Duck for cover - again!

Today several children came to our house to play with Nienke, Inge and Ellis. Inges cousin Femke was one of them. Inge and Femke wanted to feed the ducks, just like Inge and I did last Sunday. We went to the same location, but the pond was frozen and the only two ducks we spotted flew away.

There's a pond in our village where there is always some open water for the ducks. When we arrived the ducks came sprinting towards us. They must have been really hungry, poor things! The sight of about 50 ducks running towards us scared both Femke and Inge; they were hiding behind me while I was spreading the breadcrumbs. This shot was taken after the frenzy when the ducks were trying to find the last crumbs between the grass.
