sunny sunday
A rare occurrence: a Sunday in London with not much to do. I finished all of my chores early (new job starts tomorrow and after the holidays the flat was looking empty of food and full of washing and ironing) so decided to go for a wander in the sunshine.
I took a leaf out of just allan's book and took the river bus from Vauxhall to Embankment, then spent a few hours wandering around the Southbank.
The Tabanata festival was running which was great to watch - and try: origami, calligraphy.
For some reason there were also a number of women wearing red headscarves and black coats wandering around looking most mysterious. More on flickr.
Did I mention it was scorching hot? The fountains were providing welcome cooling down for the children (even though the water smelt incredible chlorinated!); better large for more droplets.
Finally back to the flat for a quick cool down then out to meet TJ and partner for some Vietnamese food in Soho before bed.
