Day 9

Today, we visited the Cao Dai Temple and the Cu Chi Tunnels

The day started at 8am and ended at 6pm. The tour bus was comfortable, but we found ourselves traveling a lot longer then the amount of time visiting sites. It was also a fairly hot day, so it was good to be in the shade for part of it like at the tunnels.

The tunnels were fascinating, as people were able to hide quite a ways underground. There were many holes like this where soldiers could hide temporarily and jump out to shoot. Some of the people on the tour we were with gave it a try too after we were given this professional demonstration.

I, on the other hand could not fit.

It was hard enough to crawl through the tunnels.
