And the answer is...

...a new playmat for my little girl.

She has a very nice playmat, which has done sterling service, however, in the last week it has been spat up on, vomed on and due to a torn nail on Friday, bled over. It has been in the washing machine everyother day, AND can't be tumbled dried.

So she needs a back up one.

Hence off to the fabric shop for wadding and gingham (a mere £3.30m) then home rummaging through my fabric drawers and ribbon boxes.

And yes, helpfully her name does start with M.
