Let me out!

This little chick is just emerging from the egg in my son's incubator - more success than last time when only 1 egg hatched he is expecting 17 to hatch this time and today is the due date - so far 7 have hatched and this one was chirping furiously to get out even when there was only a small hole in the egg.

It is strange that having assisted at the birth of many horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, cats and dogs this is the first time I have watched closely how an egg hatches - quite fascinating!
