The Patient

Poor Little B had his second cruciate operation on Wednesday. He came home on Thursday, whiny, grumpy and out of it, but today he's much more like his usual self. He's pretty much confined to a playpen, as he's not allowed to jump on/off furniture, walk etc, so we have taken him for a little stroll on his lead, just round the garden.

In the afternoon my sister took him for carry round the garden- he likes to feel the fresh air. We are so happy to have him home- there really are a team of people catering to his every whim! He's been an angel, despite being in pain, and having a panic attack from having to wear the cone of shame. He managed to take his dressing off within hours, but he's just giving it the occasional lick to check the wound is ok, and largely leaving it alone, so the cone of shame has been left in the corner.

I went to Guildford shopping today. I've got guy friend's boat party next saturday, but I'm not sure what to wear, as the weather can be iffy. I decided not to panic-buy anything, rather just browse and check out some options. In the end, all I got was a Snog frozen yoghurt and a Starbucks hot chocolate for myself.

In the evening I had a date with an italian guy. We went to Woking, as he didn't drive and needed to be near a station. We tried a pub I'd never been to and had only driven past, and it was quite nice. He was good fun, and I genuinely had a nice time, but something was missing, ie, the spark. He also made it plain that he is against weddings, and that people who have the best relationships never live together. Sigh.

And my father wonders why I'm not married......!
