Binoculars?

The twins were skating this afternoon, I had intended to spend the time at the Wylie exhibition again but got dragged into a conversation at the rink and it wasn't to be. The twins cam off the rink at 7 and Fraser said he would like to go and see the exhibition again and so we went over to the Beacon and the staff very kindly unlocked the gallery and as the twins played with the hand clapper sculpture I had the gallery to myself.

I shot some photos and video on my phone to be sent to my friend, how I wished they were here to share this with me in person, not the same by any stretch but a little something I hope they will enjoy. It was beautiful to have the space to myself, I felt like a special person the gallery being only for me.

When were there yesterday the twins laughed at this sculpture, Mimi thought it was ET while Fraser thought it was WALL-E, looking it it I can see how they though that and smiled I wonder what George would have made of their interpretation. They giggled as only 9 year olds can as they looked through the binoculars and saw the bones of the fish, they loved the shape and surprise of what they saw. Tonight with peace I shot a few frames to capture the image they found so comical. I love the way the background is diffused and the people on the quay, oblivious to my presence look ghostly, eerie in a soft way.

I love the texture and humour of this piece and love the way it has photographed in monochrome, I hope it makes you smile like it did the twins and I... Enjoy
