Big clocks

London has many clocks coming out of the sides of buildings. It must have been a fashion at some point, but I don't know when and why. This one is on the side of the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand.

I visited my old Holborn haunt at lunchtime today and visited the concierge of the building I used to work in. As always, he was very smiley and welcoming. It was lovely to see him.
