The village ponds

Wendy and I took Holly for a walk around the Ashtead ponds. The ducks and geese appeared as soon as they heard people approaching - I think they are fed a lot from the fishing platforms. There were two young geese and a number of young moorhens. This was followed by a trip to the garden centre whilst listening to the church bells ringing. The three of us had lunch with the rest of the quiz team which was very good. We spent a quiet afternoon before they headed back to the Isle of Wight.

What a restful weekend.....
