Schoolmates

Pat and I were schoolmates on Long Island as children. We always knew each other and some mutual friends in those days, but we never hung out together. This was not only our first sight of each other in about forty years, but it was the longest conversation we've ever had. It's what one does in this age of social media.

It was fun to remember life in the long-gone time and place, and the life we enjoyed in the woods and on the beaches. Growing up in Centereach, New York was a good thing after all!
