Granny's Chair

For the last week we have had sunshine nearly all the time, hot sunshine, proper summer weather. We've had breakfast outside, one of us sitting on this chair, nearly every day. Today it rained, not heavy, just frequent showers of fine drizzle, but enough to have to bring Granny's chair back inside!

I remember it in her kitchen and her telling me that when it started creaking she just stood it outside overnight and that stopped it! It just needed a bit of dampness to swell its joints!
