Brecon Highland Railway

The present terminus of the railway, narrow-gauged, built on the trackbed of the standard gauge Newport to Brecon line which was closed in 1964. Just round the corner is a tunnel, the highest one in the UK. The company would love to extend the line and are waiting for customers to provide the funds. If you're in the area, it's a beautiful journey, climbing past a large reservoir in wooded hills.
