Lazy Ducks

A sunny morning so we had a walk down to town to take some of my old books to the charity shop and then did the Three Bridges loop around the River Tweed. It was peaceful by the river. The heron was fishing and we saw a mallard duck with some small chicks - think they they must have been her second brood. Later I walked down to the Cuddy, a stream that feeds into the Tweed. The ducks were out of the water and sleeping in the gardens which ran along next to the stream. They looked very cosy resting in the afternoon sunshine, their heads tucked under their wings.
