Hampstead Heath Ladies Bathing Pond

What a gorgeous, peaceful corner of London!

The water may have been silted up, not to mention 2 degrees colder than the website promised, but I loved my swim in this fresh water, with only a couple of other swimmers and a few friendly geese for company. The only sound was of the occasional plane overhead.

I warmed up on one of the sunbathing areas. Next time I just need to remember to bring my own flask of tea and a post-swim snack.
