Harvest

Went out looking for a photo this evening and came across this scene very close to the village.

The harvester was trundling up and down at quite a rate and there seemed to be an endless stream of tractors and trailers running back and forth to collect the output.

Not really sure what the crop is - but there was no 'by-product' of bales - so presumably whatever it is is mashed up by the harvester and thrown into the trailer. It may be some sort of cattle feed perhaps.

If you look large you can see the driver giving a thumbs up to the tractor driver - and a second later the flow of harvest stopped, the blue tractor moved away and the next one moved up to begin collection.

I expect they are glad they got this crop in today - it is absolutely chucking down outside now.
