Keld Waterfalls
After a scorching hot day and a long hike it was sheer bliss to swim in a pool in one of the waterfalls at Keld!
A leisurely walk around the pretty village of Reeth before heading up Arkengarthdale onto a really remote part of the Pennines and the highest pub in England, The Tan Hill Inn. M & H suggested we cycled from Keld to Thwaite, so two cycles this year after more years than I care too mention!
did a beautiful circular walk after a picnic, Muker to Keld and back to Muker. Passed many beautiful barns, walked along the river then climbed up the hill to give superb views of this beautiful area of upper Swaledale.
Music in the local pub, nine musicians who called themselves the Sheffield collective! they were excellent and we were tapping our feet until late!
