Pacing ourselves
Today I had a lovely blipmeet with jinglyjan and 56Daisies. We met at Tate Britain to see the Folk Art Exhibition and had a pub lunch afterwards just down the road - very necessary before a fairly exhausting stomp back to catch the train home!
Walking to the Tate from Waterloo I, of course, couldn't resist blipping the working boats on the Thames. So despite having fun snapping each other in the Members' Bar, this is my journal entry for today - the Pace Fuelcare barge anchored midstream just along from Westminster. In this shot you're looking upriver, towards Lambeth Bridge and (beyond it) Vauxhall Bridge.
This is what Pace say on their website:
Pace Fuelcare supplies fuel and lubricants to ports and waterways across Southern England.
We are perhaps best known for our high profile presence along the Thames in London. Our refuelling barges are prominently situated up and down the River Thames at Westminster and Wapping.
Our fuels include various grades of marine gas oil and specialist marine lubricants.
There, you wanted to know that, didn't you!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, folks.. xx
