FrauenWege

I attended a guided hiking tour from Kaiserslautern to the Humbergturm, a tower overlooking the city from a hill above.

The hike was one of a series of events under the motto "FrauenWege" - Womens Ways (or paths?) and moderated by the well known local TV moderator Holger Wienpahl. He looked a little different from what he looks like in TV.

From the tower the views are fantastic on sunny days - so I was told. But not today. It was still pouring rain an hour before I left home....
The paths were muddy and it was raining off and on; very humid and you really had to watch your step (especially downhill).
It was a 4,5 km hike uphill and a 1,5 km slide downhill with some very interesting conversations.

After we made it to the tower we were invited to do some yoga.
While most of my fellow hikers followed the invitation, I climbed up the tower to take a few photos. Since there was no view of the city, this is the view of yoga women (and a few men) in the rain! Good we're not made of sugar!

Have to go give it another try soon to check on that fantastic view that was hiding today...
