Golden Wedding
Yesterday was the Golden Wedding Anniversary of Kath & Tony - Gail's aunt and uncle.
This was held up in Rochdale and required a journey of great length and tortuous route in order to get there in time for the start all thanks to the usual Friday evening motorway hell.
I have to say that I am well impressed with the route app on Jamie's android phone. It proves constant updates by the minute on current traffic conditions and replays the route on the fly telling you if an alternate route is quicker (or less usefully, slower). We arrived within a minute of the ETA that it had been telling us for 90 minutes. It's no use for looking at while driving - TomTom it isn't, but a great tool when doing motorway and cross country driving to a target.
The do went off fabulously well. Great food, lots to drink, lots of chat and catching up and recalling family heritage.
The light was poor Not wanting to resort to flash I was down at 5,000 ISO. Thought I'd regret it, but superb quality. Could have done with a bit higher to get more DoF but didn't want to push my luck.
Just done the first edit on several hundred images getting the short list down to 70 or so. Much left to do.
The journey back today was just as lengthy as last nights, but, thankfully, we weren't tied to a deadline. Well tired now though.
