Vapourer caterpillar

I found this hairy vapourer caterpillar (Orgyia antiqua) while I was watering the geraniums that are planted around the holiday house. They have been suffering in the heat.

Enjoying relaxing in the garden with a good book and watching out for the various birds and insects.
