100 Aker Wood
We all got up early this morning with Leanne heading into hospital, even Phoebe managed to wake up without us having to wake her.
We quickly got ready and drove to Borders General Hospital to drop Leanne off, we were going to head to the local donkey sanctuary but it was only open for tours at 2pm rather than being able to just turn up, so instead, we headed to a shoe shop to have her feet checked before going to the 100 Aker Wood.
This place is a small garden centre with a cafe/restaurant, out the back of the building they have a woodland walk with rescued chickens, peacocks, rhea, wallaby's, reindeer and red squirrels, Phoebe seems thrilled to see the big rhea birds and was slightly confused by the noise the turkeys made, but the best thing for her were the wallaby's.
She thought they were hilarious, especially when I began to bounce around on the woodland path with her, copying how they move, we were there by ourselves for a while before I noticed a woman there sniggering as she could see us jumping around, never mind, we were having fun!
Later we picked up a rather white looking Leanne, although she has received the all clear despite a small hairline fracture which will just take time to heal, and headed back to Coldstream after taking a shot of this amusing sign
There I made phoebe and myself some spag bol, whilst she demonstrated the words she can speak 'Dad, Dad, what is that?'
