Life's Curve-Balls

This snail made slow progress attempting to climb up the outside of the front door. I felt some sympathy as I wrestled with the curve balls life threw today.

First, I had word that my home on the other side of the world in Australia has been broken into. This means I have to get there as soon as possible to see the damage, loss and file an insurance claim. Fortunately my car there I think is okay. Not certain about computers and work stuff there.

I spent a long time on the web searching for flights - soonest were Tuesday next, which I have got.

Then while I was out my credit card bank left an 'urgent' message to call the fraud section. Mobile signal wasn't good enough to get far into the call and security questions (tried 3 times, gave up). Dashed home and contacted them on the landline. Thankfully, credit card is okay.

Then a couple of hours changing all passwords to banks etc in case the thieves got into my computer. Sigh.

So, a quick week in Aus which should be enough to sort it all out.

At last I am beginning to calm down and accept the situation - after all, it could have been worse.
