DDW July Challenge; pitch fork

I studied Engineering a long time ago (actually that’s a posh way of describing Day-Release at the local Technical College). So I learnt about the different pitch sizes of bolts and screws. Later on I would learn about pitch in relation to music and waves (both electronic and oceanographic). But nothing about football pitches (other than subbuteo).

I did briefly consider pitching the fork into the air along the lines of Anniemay’s recent blips, but I have neither her patience nor her dexterity with the cloning tool to remove any unwanted means of suspension.

Being involved in music I hear my fair share of ‘pitch’ jokes. For example;

Q. What’s the definition of perfect pitch?

A. When you can toss a banjo into a skip without hitting the sides.

Classical musicians tend to substitute viola for banjo. Don’t know why - that’s just the way it is. Apologies to any banjo or viola players out there.

Thank you to everyone for your comments on yesterday’s blip. I was a bit slow in responding, so thanks again.
