Blast from the past...

Hi,

This is a photo of some track race at the Southampton velodrome (we called them track's in those days) in the last 70's maybe early 80's

I'm in second place following my mate Martin who sadly dies on a motorcycle accident.

It was a funny track with hardly any banking but nevertheless quite fast. We would have weekly track racing in the summer months alternating at Portsmouth and Southampton each week...

Happy times - all i had to do was train and race...
