Grannie's last morning at home
Whilst technically, Grannie goes into the care home for 2 weeks respite, we are praying that during their assessment of her over the fortnight, they will decide to keep her on.
Things have become more and more difficult for mum to care for her at home and they were already discussing care home options before the most recent complication of excessive water retention in her legs and stomach.
I had an early start again as it's my last morning here too. Bags packed and over to Grannie's to say goodbye before an early train home. It has been lovely getting chance to spend some time with her and see her in her own home for what will hopefully be the last time.
I got a cheap first class ticket home and the extra comfort, free coffee and a bacon roll where really appreciated after such a long weekend. I arrived home to be asked if I would like to go to Loudons for lunch and then was treated to take away tea too! It's been nice being down home but it's nice to be home too :)
