MOON ROCK

The sunset in the west was amazing
Purple, Orange, Red, Turquoise….
So perverse as ever,
I set off to photograph the eastern sky
where the moon hung large,
after a hot and heavy day.
Hard to believe
that 45 years have passed
since they set off to collect those rocks.
I watched every second
in crackly black and white
on our brand new,
colour television.
A thing of wonder.
