Sub-station explosion

Didn't even know it was a substation but it suffered a fire last night causing power disruption. Here is the aftermath. A diesel generator sits on the street on the other side fulfilling this lost electrical capacity: a smell and sound evocative with train travel and the possibilities of visiting distant cities...

Appropriate as we have friend visiting from Newcastle this weekend...
