Salt of the Earth

The short cut to the DIY shop on Mare Street takes me through the old graveyard of St Johns of Hackney. Many of the graves have been exhumed and the stones are stacked together against a wall, leaving some rows of burial tombs such as this one. A cafe is being fitted out for opening soon. A slightly unusual location.
