Tour De France in Skipton

Today's mission was to ensure I was on the correct side of the high street at midday to meet friends as the cyclists were coming through and the roads would be closed meaning an hour detour to cross the high street that usually takes 30 seconds.

My brother texting me from Australia letting me know the cyclists were in Ilkley as we waited in Skipton!

It was a day to remember watching the spectacle pass by in seconds on our high street and then on the big screen until the frantic end to the race when Mark Cavendish crashed just before the finish line!!

Back home to drinks and supper with friends. Happy happy day :)
