Seeing the Pieces

A meeting at the British Museum today provided the opportunity to both visit a couple of the current temporary exhibitions I hadn't seen and revisit a few of my favourite permanent collection rooms. It turned into a world tour - China, Japan, Germany, Iran, Egypt, England (Sutton Hoo) and Scotland (the Lewis Chessmen). I was particularly impressed by the new Sutton Hoo gallery - it's a fantastic exhibition.

I wasn't the only 0ne photographing the Chessmen.
