National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh
A second full on day today. We decided to walk the Waters Of Leith and began at the Gallery of Modern Art. I don't think any of us professed to understand much about the genre so our visit inside was short lived. We did very much enjoy this pool created outside the gallery and a leisurely coffee before continuing along the river path. There was lots to see on the route, both architectural and natural but the mileage on the signs was suspect and it was an awful long way on a very hot day. From Leith we took the bus back into the centre of Edinburgh and sought out shade and ice creams. We've found a restaurant on the way back which was highly recommended by a passer by as we peered at the menu so we shall be heading back out there shortly!
