Singin' In The Rain
This was taken just after Matheus, Sharkey and
I had left the showing of the all time great movie Singin' In the Rain at the BFI southbank cinema.
Matheus had bought me a ticket as a surprise gift as he knew how much I love the film and then I had bought two more tickets for Sharkey and Luke to join us.
We three have been big fans ever since we created fabulous interpretive dance to the song Good Morning!
As today was moving in day for our new house it was an early start and a late finish with removals which left us barely any time to sort anything out before leaving for the cinema. Gallantly, Luke offered to stay at home to set up some of the house whilst I went out to see the film.
It was uproariously good fun and we laughed so many times at our favourite lines. Katie and I often instigated rounds of applause after most musical numbers and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Afterwards we each had a glass of Pimms and drank as we relived all out favourite parts and exclaimed at how young Debbie Reynolds was when she played Kathy Selden, only 18!
Matheus left us girls drinking after half an hour to catch another film and Katie and I had another Pimms and enjoyed a jolly good catch up.
It was so lovely to see them both today and I am grateful to have such generous and loyal friends to rely on to have a great time.
