Going It Alone

I have to admit I go faster on my walk without Buster. He likes to linger over interesting smells and I am always having to pause and wait for him to catch up. We had a short stroll first thing and then I left him gratefully at home, while I went on alone.

And today, the 7.5 km walk was achieved with an average time of 9 minutes 37 seconds per kilometre, according to the Runkeeper app on my phone. I pass any number of other walkers each morning, many of whom have a female American voice telling them from their pocket how they are doing.

A personal best for me anyway.
