I remember the first time we sang there.....

We sang at Local Sprouts tonight. Local is always a crap shoot. You never know what kind of night it will be. Sometimes we are really crowded with a great crowd. Other times like tonight, a few people but very interested in listening. We are always grateful for our fans. In the audience tonight was a couple from Long Island, NY. They came to a big roller derby tournament up in Rockland. I guess women's roller derby is big in Long Island.
Our gig at this venue has been standing for about four years. We have been through many incarnations. Many times we just play for dinner. We really love Local.

When Ingrid and I first started, it was just the two of us. The first night we played was a lot of fun. After we were done I went to the restroom.........that was occupied. People, there was a lock on that door. Why wouldn't a man use it. So I opened the door and came face to uh......face with a young man ..... doing his business . Who was busy . I was mortified and put my head down and went OMG I am so sorry. He turned towards me oh yes aiming at the same time . and said" you guys were awesome" He stuck out his hand to shake mine....
Yeah not so much. I thanked him and said " sorry I have a cold you may not want to catch it"
Needless to say we have had many good times there.
Um.....that was not one of them.
I have to be to work early tomorrow. 430 am. So I am off to bed. Have a great night and g'day to down under!
